What is Her Time?
Her Time, a sister program of Hang Time exclusively for women, is dedicated to empowering those who often find themselves juggling multiple jobs and responsibilities due to familial incarceration, domestic violence, or other challenging circumstances. Through a supportive environment and tailored resources, Her Time aims to improve the quality of life for these women. By providing a platform for women to focus on themselves and their well-being, Her Time empowers them to reclaim control over their lives, pursue their dreams, and overcome the obstacles they face. Since its inception in 2018, Her Time has positively impacted the lives of approximately 40 women attending monthly sessions in Bridgeport. Expanding its reach, Her Time launched programs in New Haven and Waterbury in 2023, with Stamford set to launch in June 2024.
This program offers a nurturing environment where women can find resources such as job placements, career training, PTSD support, and more. Meetings are held in a safe space where women can freely express themselves, supported by childcare services in a child-centered playroom.

“Her Time means support. You are free to talk about anything and no one looks at you like you are crazy. I can ask for advice and when you get it it’s like “Hold my hand, Sister!”

The Difference in Her Time
Her Time is designed specifically for women, creating a space where shared experiences lead to deeper understanding and connection. It recognizes that the challenges women face are often different, and provides an environment where those realities can be discussed openly, without judgment.
This is a space built on trust, support, and empowerment. Her Time encourages honest conversation, meaningful growth, and a sense of community that helps women move forward with confidence, clarity, and strength.
